Reverberation Time Correction
Even in an acoustically isolated environment where external sound penetration is minimized, reverberation can still persist. Anti-reverberation treatment—or more effectively, acoustic calibration—is an essential step following sound insulation.
General Acoustic Treatment
This involves placing sound-absorbing panels at strategically selected points, using porous materials that capture sound and dissipate it in the form of heat. The shape, density, and thickness of these materials determine their ability to “capture” sound across different frequency ranges.
Acoustic Calibration
This involves measuring the reverberation time across frequencies to enable targeted installation of absorptive or reflective materials, or acoustic calibrators. The goal is to align with the absorption coefficients of materials and furniture present in the environment.
Anti-Reverberation Treatment
This is a fundamental step to consider after sound insulation.
At this stage, JOYO Sound calculates and defines the type and quantity of materials required to reduce the reverberation time to the target level.
